I'm working on one currently, though it's going slowly.

I'm currently working on the SW:ToR Version of SimulationCraft. Some sample reports how it might look like: Jedi_Sage_Balance.html or Jedi_Sage_Telekinetics.html. Keep in mind that this is a very very experimental state with some WoW leftovers, many bugs and things missing. Talents and Sage/Sorcerer main stats are included even though they are not yet again user specifiable. I used some gear stat values from http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-SI-JC-General-Information-Simple-Questions-and-Answers?pid=7211#pid7211 to begin a profile, all added to a virtual shirt gear piece.

If you know some C/C++ and want to get your hands dirty, feel free to join the team at http://code.google.com/p/simulationcraft-swtor/ . If SW:ToR remains here to stay, some other SimC developers might change to the swtor project and help out, maybe even some of the more knowledgeable ones who could bring back a database for spells and more.

Definitely. I've actually got my own coded and near completion, though everything is set at compile time and I still have a fair amount of debugging to do. Either way, I'll dig into Simcraft and see what I can do.

That initial html output looks decent, it is nice that the SimulationCraft base could be ported over. One comment is can you add the Sith spell next to the Republic spell, i.e. "Mind Crush/Crushing Darkness" for Mind Crush entries.

Has anyone taken a look at the number of periodic effects in hardmode flashpoints and operations via the trash and bosses that might make Corrupted Flesh (you take 15% less from periodic effects) worth taking for PvE?

Right now I have 2 points floating around that I'd rather help me in PvE end game, but if they are useful in PvP it's an added bonus.
Parasitism, Oppressing Force, and Sith Defiance don't really stand out all that much so far.

RE: Madness/Balance Sorcerer DPS Compendium - frmorrison - 01-10-2012 08:21 AM

Parasitism is the strongest of those you listed for PvE, having a 1% heal on DoT crits is great since it adds up over time. If you dislike the small healing, the second choice would be Corrupted Flesh. I am sure there is plenty of periodic damage.

With a 25% force critical and the Affliction ticking every 5 times every 15 seconds and CD ticking 8 times (with deep Madness talent 6 times otherwise) every 15 seconds will give 1.9% of total health on average every 6 seconds. 13% of a 15,000 hp pool = 1950 healing in a minute. Note Death Field gives some passive healing too, so they combine to get a noticeable affect (more noticeable than trimming damage off periodic damage).

With a Madness build, CD ticks 8 times per cast. Baseline is 6 times. That's 13 ticks per 15 seconds. At 25% crit chance, that's 3.25% of your HP per 15 seconds, or 13% per minute, just under 2k healing per minute at 15k HP.

Devs may not read this forum, so has this been posted on officall forum?

I did put in a bug report for it, but did not post anything on their forums

I wonder if anyone's run a quick test to see if the 2piece set bonus (-2 force from the cost of our filler) has any particularly noticeable effect on our efficiency?
Like, does it allow a rotation with DF to become force neutral(/positive)? or just provide a few more CLs before we need to back off?

RE: Madness/Balance Sorcerer DPS Compendium - frmorrison - 01-11-2012 05:52 AM

More force means more CLs before having to hold off using them for a bit. The dps spreadsheet doesn't model the set bonus, but it does show a small dps increase with Induction (% off some force attacks). It is a small dps increase though.
