RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - DreamLord - 01-06-2012 07:39 AM aoe from piramids generators, you must kill at least 5 of them RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Chamillion - 01-07-2012 03:42 AM Right. What you're discussing in phase 2 is not a bug but a missed mechanic. You must kill the ancient power sources on each platform (at least 5 as Dream stated) in order to remove a lightning debuff from the boss that will prevent your massive AoE damage. Also in NM his mind traps are 214k HP. They were buffed. We'll be taking attempts on him on Sunday. It's being rumored that he's unable to be killed since the changes. That was also the rumor on Anni, so we'll see. RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Nico - 01-07-2012 02:01 PM Oh I see. Thank you. But seems very weird since we kill every "lantern" on the platforms we drop to that I know of. But I will be checking even more then if we are missing some. Thanks alot. At times the power sources can spawn a little behind the group if you're dropping fast. Just make sure you don't drop before waiting a few seconds for the spawn. RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Demongate - 01-07-2012 02:31 PM We noticed a bug that even killing every power source he still would not drop below 3 stacks. This is easily fixed by resetting the operation on every wipe before zoning in. This is easily fixed by resetting the operation on every wipe before zoning in. This bug in my experience only happens if you do not kill the very first power source, or sometimes if you kill the uppermost power source after the second has already been destroyed. I can't say its 100% since we obviously try to avoid this bug, but its never happened since we made it a point to kill the first power source before dropping down again. RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Demongate - 01-07-2012 02:36 PM Could very well be the cause Lackies considering we usually just skip the first one due to it taking a while to become "attackable". I'll test this out during our raid on Sunday. Thanks. RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Demongate - 01-09-2012 10:08 PM Any tips/tricks for that last phase on hard mode? It's being rumored that he's unable to be killed since the changes. That was also the rumor on Anni, so we'll see. Doing this on NiM mode last night - the Mind Traps were what stopped us. We could deal with them in the second phase, but we just couldn't keep up with them in the last phase. 214k hp is 1/3 of what the first boss has on NM. On hardmode they only had around 24,000. That's a massive increase, and apparently our t2 gear just isn't enough to handle it. RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Chamillion - 01-10-2012 11:26 PM On 16m NMM attempts, we stopped DPS on 1 mindtrap to DPS the boss on shield down, and within that 15 seconds we had two more 214k mindtraps spawn. So we were looking at 3 of them up in a matter of 15 seconds. It's fully impossible to kill them that fast. IF the entire raid was best in slot, it would still be very difficult to manage that much DPS while having to move constantly due to 5-6 balls spawning over and over. This encounter boggles the mind. 8m NMM is bugged and gives the same HP on Mindtraps as 16m NMM, which is ridiculous beyond reason. There is absolutely no reason to even attempt NMM on 8 man, as you can not muster that much DPS in an 8 man raid. Also HM Soa has his fair share of problems as well. Though HM is killable, we saw the MT get mindtrapped and then the boss despawn at least 5 times last night while trying to finish the lockout. The balls are your only real issue on HM, NMM has been tuned to not be cleared until 1.1 imo. Though we will keep at it either way. |
