RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Antario - 03-29-2012 09:14 PM more like 3-5 but ehm...dont you think your overcomplicating this? this fight is less about thinking, more about doing and timing and responding do: hit your balls time: transitions to not kill anyone respond: to mind traps and environmental RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Qii - 03-29-2012 11:36 PM (03-29-2012 09:14 PM)Antario Wrote: more like 3-5 Think more now, respond better later imo. Understanding the mechanics simplifies it for me
RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Eddie - 04-03-2012 09:14 AM I might have missed this if it was already mentioned but when reading through this for tips on dealing with HM SOA our guild has found a trick to slightly reduce the healing needs during the platform phase (handy with the upcoming medpack nerf). PT/Vans and Knights/Warriors can leap to the power sources to bypass fall damage. Have not tested it yet but Sages/Sorcs can probably also pull people down as well. RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Aandaas - 04-04-2012 11:37 PM Do people continue to do this fight on NiM after getting the title for their raid group if no one new is around for the title? RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Julissa - 04-05-2012 03:49 AM For Eddie, you still take falling damage from doing a force leap or obliterate to the power sorce on the next lower platform. It seems they have made it so you take damage regardless. I have not tested using intercede on someone however, that may prevent the damage but I doubt it since the above mentioned skills still allow you to take damage. RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Aandaas - 04-05-2012 04:16 AM Are you sure about that Julissa? Our Marauder and Jugg are always charging and never take damage. Are they jumping from mid-air or while standing on the previous platform? RE: Eternity Vault: SOA - Julissa - 04-05-2012 12:31 PM I am sure. I am the jugg who takes damage. Though I cannot be 100% about standing on the edge, but I jump do the charge, and always take about 3k damage. There will be one behind you (back to the west) that then gives you better access. Without heals, I get to about 80% by the end of the platform phase. Do this for both pauses you encounter and you will then only take a 'significant' amount of damage on the final 1 or 2 platform drops at the very end. Our healers really don't do much until we get to the bottom. Maybe Kolto probes or a Reviv, but it really takes 0 effort to heal this if you do this. If you leave the ground and start your leap midair, you'll take fall damage as if you fell from where you left the ground to where your leap ended. We do, for the second mount that drops in the chest. Have both mounts for nearly everyone on our raid roster now |
