I know that the gap between, for instance, juggernauts and marauders was diminished significantly. How about for the two BH ACs? In theory PT/VG is doing ~1500-1600 dps I believe still with rakata gear, I have not had a chance to to test the spread sheet out with campaign gear yet so I cant say for sure what the top end is like now in T2 gear with augs. In parses I have been getting anywhere from ~1000 on Toth & Zorn to ~1200 on Tanks in Hardmode attempts. Toth and Zorn is much more movement then Tanks so thats why there is a bigger drop off there, also threat has become a bigger issue now not sure if this is a tank thing or just a fact of life atm, time will tell. Gear / Spec. RE: Powertech/Vanguard DPS Compendium - nex - 04-19-2012 03:23 AM I am really interested in leveling a Powertech, at launch someone lied me that PT Tanks are bad so I went for an Assassin. Im still bitter, so Im planning to make a PT PvE DPS now Any ideas how Advanced Prototype fares in PvE? 1200dps for Pyrotech looks nice, but I would love to see some results from AP as well. o7 regards! RE: Powertech/Vanguard DPS Compendium - blott - 04-19-2012 05:18 AM PT tank is very nice, it is versatile in many ways. I personally have never liked AP very much style wise so I tend to stay far from it so you would have to hope some of the other folks in this thread come back and talk about it. Im currently MT'ing for my guild as a SA and we really need a PT tank (at some point we had WAY too many inquisitors .. like most of the guilds around I guess). So if I make a PT it will be for PvE DPS (I dont like mercenaries, I want something beefy and hard hitting even if this means staying in close-mid range). Would be really awesome if some PT's add some parsed logs and example DPS outputs o/ RE: Powertech/Vanguard DPS Compendium - thrakkemarn - 04-19-2012 04:36 PM So according to the simulator, using the 4-piece Eliminator PvP set bonus (15% RS crit) is significantly more DPS than using the 4-piece PvE Combat Tech set bonus. This is now possible to do by moving PvE mods into a set of PvP Eliminator gear. I find it kind of ludicrous that this is the best way to achieve maximum DPS. Has anyone actually done this and tested it out? I am pvping just to get a full Eliminator set to try this out. If your talking about PVP then I can not see the value of this since the loss of Expertise would be very bad. The word on the street is that in PVP, Expertise > all other stats including Power etc. RE: Powertech/Vanguard DPS Compendium - frmorrison - 04-20-2012 03:15 AM (04-20-2012 01:47 AM)Zarovich Wrote: Are you talking about maximum DPS in regards to PVP or PVE. The word on the street is that in PVP, Expertise > all other stats including Power etc. I am sure the OP is trying to maximize PvE dps. He is saying use the 4 piece PvP shell (getting 15% crit on RS) and put in all PvE mods. Certainly for PvP, expertise is by far the best stat. Using the sim, the 4 piece PvP is better than the two PvE bonuses by 10 dps and it will cost around 400k credits to move all those mods. RE: Powertech/Vanguard DPS Compendium - thrakkemarn - 04-20-2012 04:37 AM Yes, I am talking about PvE. Why I would PvE mods into PvP gear to maximize PvP damage I have no idea =P 400k to move the mods isn't a huge issue for me, BUT the principle of the matter is! For other people however, 400k is a LOT of money, and it is flat out stupid that you have to spend this much money to get the best set bonus. I'll have my 4pc Eliminator (pvp) set tonight and will post parses with 4-pc Combat Tech vs 4-pc Eliminator (pvp) set bonuses, along with my stats and gear. Moving mods is really pricey, that high price will affect anyone that wants BiS gear. Since you like spending credits, you can add one random crit orange armor (maybe an orange weapon as well) to get 18 Aim augment slot. FYI for PTs, either 4 set bonus is slightly better than having 4x 18 Aim augments. |
