Has anyone given thought to what War Hero gear is best in slot for dps? I realize PvP is about more things than dps, but it's the easiest thing to figure out what's best.

I am a utility sorcerer (0-20-21)
And right now I am trying to figure out how to squeeze out extra DPS out of this build without losing any utility.
The thing I am trying to weigh out is Lightning Barrage (2 points) vs 1 Point in Chain Lightning and 1 Point in Lightning Storm.
My rotation would typically be Affliction, FL Proc CD. Deathfield. Shock. FL Proc Lightning Strike and then hopefully proc Chain Lightning.
By this time my DoT's should replenish.
What gives better DPS Lightning Barrage or this new build I am trying out?

Definitely Barrage. Assuming that you're only using Lightning Strike when you have Wrath, it takes far too long to reliably proc Lightning Storm, and Wrath LS is still a DPS loss over Force Lightning. If you're spamming LS sans Wrath in order to proc Storm, that's a substantial single-target DPS loss that a bit of extra AoE damage is probably not going to make up for. Lightning Barrage, conversely, adds single-target burst, which is something you can never get enough of in PvP.

With ranked warzones coming this Tuesday, what spec are most you Sorcs using nowadays for dpsing? Currently I'm liking my hybrid spec of:

Hi -- wanted to share this full hybrid spec. This spec will only work well if you are well geared. The philosophy behind this spec is to get the bare minimum you would need from each tree.
Note in healing tree -- I went as deep as I did ONLY for sith purity. If you aren't good at knowing when/how to use purge, then you are better off not getting it.

Well, I spec mostly with PvE in mind, but I've been doing well with this:

Basically, I just took the PvE 1/12/28 hybrid spec and moved the last two points into Electric Bindings to "PvP-ify" it. Also helps keep melee trash out of my face.

As a long time DPS Sorc in PvE, I attempted to play Corruption in PvP last night.
A conversation I had with another one of our sorcs left me wondering if it is viable for a PvP corruption spec to drop Reviv in favor of Electric Bindings. I tried with Reviv and without and while the AE healing was a nice crutch, the cast time and ability to be interrupted left something to be desired. Electric Bindings has a very satisfying effect as a healer in Huttball.
I couldn't find anything solid in forums, so I just made this spec up--29/12/0--in between matches and I'm curious what other full time corruption sorcs have to say on the topic.

IMHO you need to go up to backlash... especially if you are going to forgo the AOE heal.
I say this because on my server the rated teams are all running one stun bubble healer. It's getting to be that people are demanding nerfs on sorcs 'sharing' the stun effect of the bubble. Otherwise the AoE heal is still a staple in competitive PVP.

I'm actually here because I'm re-visiting an old, dead project of mine.... trying to revive my Sorc for DPS in PVP. The problem is I am looking for a 1.5 Best in Slot post and I can't seem to find any.... anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Generally I am half warhero and a blend of the two bonuses from Force mystic/force master. However, I am really trying hard to make full lightning work in warzones. There's a lot of PVE stuff floating around but it's mostly useless to me.
I know Lightning isn't even on the radar for most FoTM players but there is a guy on my server that is sickeningly good with it in PVP and he isn't very... sociable. So if anyone knows of a good source (Noxxic sucks) for real BiS PVP Sorc in "1.5" I'd greatly appreciate it.

Actually thinking about it, I'm having problems finding a BiS for Sorcs on any of the 1.5 builds (aside from heals) So I'd even love to see something for Madness, or even Hybrid if it exists.
