Yes I saw the pope hat look etc.

What they should have done is used a completely different skin for battle master. Would have lessened the grind complaints.

i have a quick question regarding relics for pvp and how it synergizes with bio chem adrenals.

my goal for pvp gear is just like everyone has mentioned to replace alacrity and such mods/enh with crit/surge ones.

the question now to ask is which relics should we use?

in my current gear i'm running about 33% crit with IA buff and 77% surge i'd imagine with full battlemaster gear i'd have even more surge

the 2 relics i'm running currently is the blue matrix cube and the power on active relic, and i use the surge adrenal. but given the way surge will DR, is it better to go with the crit + surge on activate relic and use the power adrenal and use the matrix cube? or use both the crit + surge relic with the power relic and just use the surge adrenal or use both pvp relics and use the power adrenal with the surge on active relic?

I thought the PvP potion was the best (15% expertise), this is rewarded for doing the daily. Note you cannot stack normal adrenals and the red PvP buff.

I don't know how useful it is once you start getting expertise on gear though.

It remains hideously useful. Someone PM'd me earlier about the same question. The specific question was in regards to the Surge adrenal, but the logic follows for all of them. In particular, since the net multiplier benefit from surge is equal to (1 + Surge*Crit), if you had 30% Surge Rating without the relic, you'd need about 90% crit for the 565 Surge adrenal to equal the Expertise adrenal in just damage output. That doesn't account for the additional mitigation benefit. 15 Expertise is absolutely insane, because as a percentage effect, it is applied after the rating conversion, and thus doesn't diminish (much) with addition expertise rating.

Just curious if you're still running 21/2/18. I leveled up as a hybrid aiming towards that spec, but my guild is full of DPS so I was debating on switching to full heals. Would you do anything different to this tree? http://knotor.com/skills#AgcgBwIJKjNCSVJhaoKJmqOpssLL0rrL0toA Thanks!

If you are planning to PvP, you want full empty body to get 8% better heals on yourself, also for PvE I would want full empty body. In this PvP game, it is best if healers dps sometimes (which is why Kor recommends 21/2/18 for group PvP play).

Our foursome right now is actually Healing Merc, DPS Powertech, DPS Maurader, and myself. I'm sure sticking to the hybrid would fit in nicely.

If you want a spec that can handle PvE (though not bleeding-edge raids, you'll need support when it comes to AoE heals) and can dps decently for soloing/PvP, try out a 27/0/14 spec instead. With Sith Efficacy and Force Surge, you have effectively infinite force regardless of whether you're healing or dpsing. You'll only do about half the dps of a full dps spec, but compared to a full healing build the only things you lose are a 9% cost reduction, 20% boost to your shield, 6% bonus healing, Reviv, and Reserves. It's a loss, but it's not massive.

As for the full healing build, I would definitely suggest Empty Body. However, full 31 point healing builds tend to fair worse in PvP due to the lack of easy dps options.

On the note of my personal spec, I respec far far too often to say what my current spec is. I float between 21/2/18, 0/19/22, 0/13/28, 3/31/7, and 32/7/2 as it suits my mood and the needs of any guild groups running. Even I can't keep track most of the time. Just the other day, I logged in to powerrun a guild group through Colicoid and realized about the time we hit the maze (so after the 2 sets of turrets and a room of trash in between) that I was actually full healing spec rather than 13/28 like I thought I was.

Thanks for the input. I actually haven't done any PVE content yet. I just hit 50 last night and will probably just focus on PVP.
