Dulfy, as well as a few others, have done a very nice job compiling information on all of the upcoming Rakata/BM changes. I haven't yet found a quick summary as to what mods on what gear is getting updated, so using Dulfy's screen shots I just did a quick side by side. Here's the changes as they are:

Bracer, Hand, Waist, Head, MH/OH - No Change

Rakata Stalker's Boots:
  • This currently 'has' a Resolve Armoring in it and it will change to Force Wielder - nothing we can do to prepare for this.
  • Mettle 25A (61WP/11Crit) --> Aptitude 25 (48WP/37Power) - I see this as a good thing.
  • Acute 25 (51Acc/37Crit) --> Discipline 25 (20Power/51Surge) - A toss up, mostly depends on your current itemization.

Rakata Stalker's Legwraps:
  • This currently 'has' a Force Wielder Armoring and will be going to Resolve. A good thing.
  • Mettle 25 (48WP/37Crit) --> Mettle 25A (61WP/11Crit)
  • Finesse 25 (51Acc/37Crit) --> Adept 25 (37Power/51Surge) A good thing imo. Note this is a Finesse Enhancement on original and I'm certain you need to replace by name, not stat to get the update.

Rakata Stalker's Robe:
  • This currently 'has' a Resolve Armoring and will go to Force Wielder. Again, not much you can do about it.
  • Mettle 25A (61WP/11Crit) --> Aptitude 25 (48WP/37Power) - Good deal.
  • Acute 25 (51Acc/37Crit) --> Discipline 25 (20Power/51Surge) - Again, toss up depending on your current itemization.

So, what does this do for our BiS and such? Not much. Currently you are running 4/5 Rakata and 1/5 Orange in either Head, Hand, or Leg. After the changes your option for that slot will be Boot, Hand, Head, Robe. So we are going to lose a bit of WP on the trade. If you have the means to stock up on extra Resolve Armorings, by all means please do.

Edit: Edited to reflect post #2 input regarding stocking up on Resolve Armoring.
One thing i was confused about they said armoring will be transferable in all gears but only 1.2 sets will have their set bonuses on armorings but here i can't see armorings moveable. Anyone know anything about that? Because if we can move armorings.. i guess we'll need 4x leggings in our bank to replace other armorings and some of the enchanments as i believe it also has best enchanement.

David Hunt Wrote:When you acquire an item does not matter.

You can remove armoring from any item that has one.

If you remove the armoring from some high end items, it will bind to that slot (so it can only be transferred from chest to chest).

Currently, Armorings of level 61 or above (new in 1.2) have the set bonus on the armoring.

Items of level 58 or below (existed before 1.2) have the set bonus on the item, not the armoring.

So yes, I wasn't very clear. If you are able to attain more Resolve Armorings, you will be able to upgrade whatever Force Wielder you have. On my server those are going for 500k. I realize our goal is BiS, but I'm assuming people in a BiS discussion are going to get into Campaign gear rather quickly. If you have the ability to get some extra Rakata tokens, by all means. Myself I raid with 5 SI in 8 man and 7 in 16 man so.... not many extras going around.
This thread can now be disregarded based on Zoeller's post. The changes to Rakata itemization have been reversed somewhere along the lines.
