Battlemaster/Rakata stats on PTS

Hey everyone, this is Dulfy from dulfy.net, quite a few people have being asking me to post the PTS stats on the Battlemaster/Rakata sets since they being changed a bit on the PTS. Here are screenshots of these sets currently on the PTS. Keep in mind the following, if you swap the mods out, those “foreign” mods you put in won’t be upgraded. If you want to get these “foreign” mods upgraded to the new mods on PTS , you have to swap back the mods (doesn’t have the exactly same mod you took out, as long it is the mod with the same name/stats). See this dev post here for confirmation.

Oh another thing, don’t use the pictures below when deciding what mods to swap back in to get upgrades. The picture below are the “updated” BM/Rakata pieces. You should use a database site to figure out what mods were in your gear if you switched them out. I recommend Askmrrobot database as you can use their char builder to quickly build a full set rather than searching for individual pieces and the mod/enhancment names are easily visible if you need to search your bags/inventory. Here is an example of a sorcerer in Force-Master Battlemaster set.

One last thing, some weapons are shared between different sets. So if you can’t find a weapon in one particular set, look for it in the other set for your class.

Corellia – Black Hole dailies!

Hey everyone, this is Dulfy from dulfy.net! The Corellia dailies just opened up on the Public Test Server (PTS) so here is my writeup on it. I want to give a huge thanks to Tesar from <The Sundered Guard> who helped me with gathering the information and did the initial writeup as I was unable to do the dailies on the PTS myself since my main was not copied over yet! Here is Tesar with his badass dual lightsabers! (p.s. The Sundered Guard is recruiting a powertech tank on Warriors of the Shadow server for 1.2 content if anyone interested in applying!). This will be the Empire version right now but I will add in the Republic version soon!

Some quick points for those not interested in reading too much

  • Quest chain starts with Sergeant Karloss in Imperial Fleet inner ring.
  • Head to Corellia, take shuttle to Black Hole, talk to General Konya
  • Grab the 5 solo dailies: No Trace Left, Control the Battlefield, Asset Liquidation, Glow, Hypermatter Directive from the mission terminals
  • After you finish the 5 solo dailies, you will be given the heroic 4+ daily from the mission terminal called The End of Torvix.
  • Each solo daily give you 7 k credits and 1 Daily Commendation. That is right, they are giving out daily commendations, not Black Hole Commendations. The daily Asset Liquidation give out 2 Daily Commendations and 11 k in credits since it has multiple steps.
  • The Heroic 4+ daily give out 3 Daily Commendations
  • The weekly give out 6 Black Hole Commendations (a gear on average costs 30+ Black Hole Commendations)
  • New items on Daily Commendation vendors

Where to start

You will want to head to the Imperial Fleet – Valken Spacedocks and look for a NPC called Sergeant Karloss.

Sargeant_Karloss1imperialfleetqueststart

Once you find him, he will give you a quest that sends you to Corellia.

Once you arrive on Corellia, there is a shuttle right outside the space port that will take you to the Black Hole!

shuttle

Head to the Horizon Outpost, level 2 and talk to General Konya and pick up dailies from the mission terminal. You can also pick up a weekly which is essentially asks you to complete all the dailies.

General_Konya

No Trace Left

Its objective is to identify 3 Torvix spies.

Daily_No_Trace_Left_mission_log

For this quest you pretty much just run around the room and use the quest item to find the 3 spies. Pretty simple and no fighting involved!

Control the Battlefield

This is a daily that takes place in the same area as Asset Liquidation and requires only killing 12 mobs rather than 20 (also has only one step). Quick and easy daily!

Asset Liquidation

The first part of this quest is fairly simple – kill 20 mobs. After you done that, step 2 has you destroy 6 Torvix munition caches. .

This is followed by step 3, destroying the Comm Tower and recover T-5R7 memory core (elite mob).

Glow

Daily_Glow_entrance_location

First you need to grab an anti-rad injector from the nearby mobs, this will protect you from the nasty stuff in the questing environment. This is also where the first console is located for rerouting the pipelines.

1

Once you have that, you will be asked to reroute 4 Hypermatter Pipelines. These pipeslines are located in a room filled with radioactive water so you will need that injector to protect you (without the injector, the water will kill you in 5-6 seconds. Every tick is a DoT that stacks and deals more damage with more stacks). This injector will protect you from 10 ticks of the damage but you can loot more from the mobs in the area.

The tip here is to never fight in the water as that will drain your protection quick. Fight on land where there isn’t any radioactive water.

protection

The rest of the consoles are located to the left of the radioactive water and on the other side.

Hypermatter Directive

The objective of this daily mission is to steal 5 Emergency Hypermatter Supplies.

hypermatter_directive_entrance

You will be given a probe droid with a flashlight that will help you navigate the room. This mission has sort of a “Splinter Cell” feel to it. Initially there are no mobs present – but there are probes being deployed around the room that scans within a certain radius. If you are detected, a strong level mob will spawn and attack you. You objective is to retrieve these small boxes in the room that “glows”.

probedetectionHypermatter_directive_ss

The End of Torvix – Heroic 4+

This is a heroic 4+ quest located in the Hypermatter tower. This mission is fairly challenging and does not appear to be soloable with the current gear. I was able to solo it all the way to the last boss fight but the 2nd swarm was a bit too much for me and my companion to handle. It shouldn’t be diffcult to duo it with a partner and 2 companions. Y

hypermatter_tower_location

There isn’t anything to remarkable to talk about any of the fights in the mission. After the last fight is over, you have a little puzzle to complete. The goal is to reroute the toxic liquid from left side of the wall to the right by using 3 buttons on the consoles. These buttons will connect the tubes in different ways. Each button handles a different pipe, so just play around with it until it all connects correctly!

puzzle

The reward for the heroic daily is 3 Commendations, 16k credits and a choice between a level 50 blue prototype box or an orange moddable box.

heroicdailyreward

The weekly reward is 6 Black Hole commendations and 16k credits.

weeklyreward

So in total, these 5 solo dailies give you 6 Daily Commendations and around 40 k credits. The heroic one give you 3 Daily Commendations and 16 k credits. Each day just from Corellia you can earn 9 Daily Commendations and 50-60 k credits. Not bad!

For comparison Ilum give you 8 daily commendations and Belsavis give you 17 Daily Commendations. So you can earn 34 Daily Commendations a day assuming the Ilum ones are not bugged!

New Items on Daily Commendation vendors

The Daily Commendation vendors (Mission Support Vendors) sell some new stuff!

3736

The schematic produce +41 crystals.

The Relics are actually better than the current ones that drops from nightmare operations.

3839

The vendor also sell some construction kits (Head & Legs slot) that are used for the Legacy armor (low level stuff) which you can read about here!

1.2 PvE armor stats preview

Hey everyone, this is Dulfy from dulfy.net, this is a continuation of the last article – 1.2 PvP armor stats preview.

Here are a couple facts about the PvE armor

  • There are two big sets of PvE armor – Black Hole purchased with Black Hole Commendations and Campaign purchased with Campaign tokens
  • Black Hole Commendations are dropped from the bosses in Nightmare Karagga’s Palace (Nightmare EV was not mentioned in the patch notes). It is not certain if the new Corellia dailies reward them as well (they are currently bugged on PTS)
  • Campaign tokens are dropped from bosses in the new operation Explosive Conflict (hardmode version).
  • Weapons of any kind (mainhands or offhands) are not available on the PvE vendors (Supplies area of the Fleet). This means that for classes like Marauders/Sentinels and agents/smugglers neither mainhand nor offhands are available for purchase. It is not known where the weapons drop or if they are just not available for purchase yet.
  • Campaign sets – these armor currently do not have stats on the vendor. The only ones that do have stats are the bracers/belts/offhands, which I listed.

Guild bank preview in patch 1.2

Hey everyone! This is Dulfy from Dulfy.net and for this article we had Petrus (if you recall him from the previous legacy preview article) digging up the information on guild banks! Guild banks was one of those features that unfortunately didn’t make it to launch but will be included with patch 1.2! o/\o

Lets start with a couple of basic information:

  • Your guild needs to have 15 members – so for those smaller 8 man raiding guilds, make a bunch of level 1 alts to fill the ranks!
  • It costs 600 K to buy the guild bank. The guild bank you purchased will contain 1 tab.
  • Tab 2 will cost 1 million credits, Tab 3 will cost 2 million credits, Tab 4 will cost 3.5 million.
  • There are 7 tabs in total, each tab costing more to unlock. Unfortunately Petrus ran out of credits on the PTS and was unable to access the purchasing requirements for Tab 5, 6 and 7. If you are rich and feel like donating credits for a good cause, you know who to send credits to!
  • Withdrawl limits for credits and items reset weekly ~ Monday.

Lets take a look at the guild bank interface! On the bottom you will notice four tabs: Vaults, Log, Ledger, Manage.

Vaults is where you put the stuff. On the left you will have all the Tabs you have purchased and on the right are slots for each tab. There appear to be 10 x 9 = 90 slots per tab. At the bottom you can withdrawl/deposit credits. This is pretty much the basic interface that most of your guild members will use.

Vaults

Log keeps track of items – ONLY. Just items, not credits. There is a separate tab for credits.

Log

Ledger keeps track of all the credit transaction. There is a separate row for every guild member that keep track of their credit transactions weekly (and also the previous week). On the PTS the guild leader’s transaction is not shown and apparently this Ledger is only visible to guild leaders (might be a bug).

Ledger

Manage tab is available only for guild leaders. Bioware has said in guild summit that only guild leaders can change the settings on guild banks for now.

Here you can set the weekly credit allowance (that includes withdrawal, repair, respec) for each guild rank. Repair and respec takes from the same fund as the withdrawal. This allowance resets every monday. This allowance also has a memory. So if someone is given a max allowance limit of 15k credits and he spent 13k credits, he now has 2k credits left. If you now change that max allowance limit to 4k credits, it will show him as 0 left.

For each of the Tabs, you can make it so it is invisible to certain ranks or prevent certain ranks from adding stuff. If you have guildmates that like to add everything they find to the guild bank, this should be helpful for you.  You can also edit the name and icons for each tab. There are 85 icons to choose from!

icons

Stack separately means that items within a stack will count towards that person’s withdrawl limit. Say if someone is limited to 10 items for a certain tab, he can’t withdrawl a stack of 20 items but he can withdrawl a stack of say 8 items.

1.2 Legacy System Preview

Hey everyone, this is Dulfy from dulfy.net, I am very excited to give you the first preview of the legacy system in 1.2! I want to give a huge thank you to Petrus & Dread from <The Sundered Guard> on Warrior’s of the Shadow  server. They tirelessly powerleveled a bunch of characters on the PTS to gather the screenshots and information on the legacy system. Here you can see the “handsome” Petrus with his Taunta pet! (p.s. they are looking for a powertech tank for 1.2 content!)

Introduction & Navigation

The legacy tab can be unlocked once you have completed chapter 1 of your class quest. Once you open your legacy window, on the top left you will see the following:

legacyoverview

Use the following navigation aid to quickly jump to sections of interest.

I will walk you through all the features in each category. Lets start with Family Tree!

Family Tree

This is more of a roleplaying feature and fairly self explanatory. Nonetheless, I will guide you through it.

familytree1

You will start with an empty screen, you can drag one of your character to the middle and then drag other characters to connect with that character as allies, child, spouse, adoptive child, rival, sibling.

familytree2

As you can see, the two characters here are now connected as allies.

familytree3

Yes! It seems you can make two of your characters of the same gender as spouses!

These icons are for each of your 5 companions! You can unlock lock each one of them by completing all conversations and quests for that companion. First companion to be unlocked of a specific type (melee rank, healer, melee damage, ranged tank, ranged damage) will grant a bonus to a stat and increase the duration of your heroic moment by 12 seconds and reduce the cooldown by 1 minute. Unlocking further companions of the same type will grant a +10 presence bonus on all your legacy characters instead.

Welcome to the species tab! You will be greeted with this screen when you first open it.

specieis

There are 9 species to be unlocked! Once unlocked you can use them to create any class you wish. You can either unlock them via leveling an allowed class to 50 using that race or purchasing it for 1.5 million credits (requires legacy level 5). Humans cost only 500k (Humans are cheap!).
