World of Darkness, the upcoming vampire MMO from CCPgames (Maker of Eve Online) will feature social power as a form of gameplay via its political system.

In this game, the fight for political influence is just as important as the literal battle for blood – if you have enough political power (Prince of a city and enough political support), you can kill off someone’s character permanently! (eek!).

Unlike other MMOs, political positions in World of Darkness are actual positions with power – players set the rules. This make social power just as important as PvE/PvP and hanging out in bars can be a method of social power advancement.
