I assume this would be if one player laid fire on the ground and another player shooting arrows through the fire is now shooting flame arrows? What other combos do we know of? The sheer amount of combos possible is staggering. The basics behind it, as you said, involve a 'field' being placed first, followed by a finishing move that utilizes the elemental nature of the field to boost attacks / heals. The wiki has a little bit of information here, but it's far from complete. Once a field is in play, you will be notified via on-screen text that you can use a finisher for bonus effects. And following the cast / use of the finisher, you will also be alerted letting you know that a combo has been completed. I'm assuming there will be options to turn off these notices, but that's kinda beside the point. It's not entirely clear how big of a boost these combos will be, but effectively utilizing them in both pve and pvp will surely grant an edge to smart players over the rest Edit: Combos are available to both single professions and groups, as I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that all classes possess the ability to place fields and then use a finishing move. The key to good teamplay will be finding out which combos each profession is lacking in and then finding a way to compensate through the rest of the group. For example, combining a water elementalist with a light field should provide more supportive benefits than just the ele by itself. |
